The performance column is computed from our own mirror (1120 reviews held locally), so it only appears for languages where we hold a usable sample. Small languages show — rather than a number derived from two or three reviews.
What this changed about our translations
Confirmed by the data
- English first. 73% of reviews. It is the base locale and the only one with full content.
- Simplified Chinese second. The largest non-English audience by a wide margin, and the most disappointed — 47% positive. Underserved and unhappy is exactly the combination worth a translation.
- Performance complaints are universal. The rate sits in a narrow band across every language with a usable sample, which means the problem is the build, not one regional install.
Not supported by the data
- Spanish. 14 Spanish-Spain reviews and 4 more across Latin America. Real, but a rounding error next to English. Interface only, and we say so on the page.
- Japanese, Korean, Turkish. Under 15 reviews each. Translating the chrome would serve a handful of players and dilute the quality of the pages that matter.
- Machine translation. The quotes stay in the player's own language. A translated quote is a fabricated quote, and this whole site is built on not doing that.
